Terms and conditions

Binding contract

This document contains the terms and conditions of using our booking engine. They apply to buyers (client) and Seatours ehf. Confirming an order on the booking engine is also regarded as acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you have any questions about them, please e-mail us at saeferdir@saeferdir.is.

Both parties, the buyer (client) and Seatours ehf., enter into a legally binding contract for the purchase and supply of the available and selected services, and the conditions of the respective credit/debit card companies of the two parties.

If a case arises out of this agreement, it shall be brought to the District Court of Reykjavík.

Changing bookings

Changing of bookings to a different time/date is allowed up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival time at no extra cost.

Changing of bookings less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date incur 3.000 ISK.- changing fee.

Cancellation terms

Cancellation more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date incurs 5% changing fee. Refund only 95% of the ISK amount, which was paid. Cancellation less than 6-24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival time incurs 50% refund. Cancellation less than 5 hours before departure incurs no refund.

Privacy statement

The information entered by the buyer (client) and referred to in the Privacy Statement, can only be used by the supplier and Booking Engine Operator if it becomes necessary to contact the buyer (client).

Booking procedures

Immediately after the buyer (client) has successfully confirmed the purchase they should print a voucher with the booking details and check that the information is correct. If the buyer has made any entry mistakes they should contact Seatours directly at saeferdir@saeferdir.is. The voucher must be handed over to the supplier as proof of payment and booking on the prearranged date.

The booking form shows the price of the selected services, and exactly that amount will be debited from the buyer's account when the order is confirmed.

Should Seatours not be able to render the booked services, they will find an alternative of the same or higher standard, or refund fully if preferred. Seatours will also do their utmost to contact the buyer prior to departure to inform them of such unforeseeable changes. The buyer agrees that this may not always be possible. In such cases, Seatours will do their utmost to find a satisfactory solution prior to the buyer's arrival.

Complaints

Complaints regarding the services should be brought to the attention of Seatours during the buyer's stay and management must be given the opportunity to rectify the situation from the outset. Should such complaints not be rectified by Seatours, the buyer should contact the Icelandic Tourist Board (info@icetourist.is) immediately.

General terms

Seatours ehf reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. These terms and conditions are subject to Icelandic law and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Iceland.

The use of this search and booking engine is subject to the terms and conditions above.

All product prices are published subject to printing errors and we reserve the right to cancel trading if incorrect prices are stated. Please note that prices are subject to change without notice.
